I also love that this isn’t too shiny it has just enough shine to give lips a subtle sheen without looking glossy or gloopy in person. The shine comes out best under bright lights where you see the shimmery effect most clearly but isn’t overpowering when you look at yourself in natural light sources like windows or lamps indoors (or outside if possible).

I’ll admit, at first I was confused by the concept of Laura Mercier’s skincare lipstick product. How could you wear it alone? Wouldn’t it be a bit dry? But after using it for a couple of weeks I know that my initial worries were unfounded. Laura Mercier’s skincare lipstick product is great on its own it’s not too sticky or thick (which can happen with other lip products), and it lasts quite a while before needing to be reapplied. You can also use it with a lip liner if you want a color that’s more matte or opaque; just apply both in the same shade and blend them together with your finger (or whatever tool you have handy).
I plan on getting more colors! It’s not super creamy, but it’s not drying either. And the price point isn’t bad either: around $24 per tube!
